- 1 cup sushi rice, cooked and seasoned
- 5 sheets of nori seaweed
- 200 g surimi
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Soy sauce, for serving
- Pickled ginger, for serving
- Wasabi, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for decoration (optional)
- Sushi rolling mat
Preparation
Spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly over the clouds, leaving about 1.5 cm at the top edge. Gently press the rice to make sure it sticks. Arrange surimi, julienned cucumber and avocado along the bottom edge of the rice layer.
Running method
Carefully lift the bottom edge of the nori sheet and rice, rolling it over the filling, using the sushi mat to shape into a tight cylinder. Moisten the top edge of the clouds with a little water to seal.
Presentation
Serve Surimi Maki Sticks on a plate, garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi. Enjoy sushi prepared at home with quality ingredients!
